Arcturus is publication featuring poems, artwork, photography and stories completed by Highline Community College students during the 2011/12 academic year.

The theme for the book is centered around the famous quote describing the effort it takes to produce high quality writing:

Writing Is Easy; You Just Open a Vein and Bleed

The title was taken from the name of the star Arcturus, owing to its blood red color and intense brightness.

The design and layout were produced using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.  The image to the left is a basic representation of the design.  The actual final copy contained all of the necessary publication criteria, layout specifications and approximately 50 pages of actual student work.
